The Face Behind ThisisTanzania
I’m Madina, a 28-year-old Tanzanian with a deep passion and background in wildlife conservation. Growing up surrounded by Tanzania’s breathtaking landscapes and diverse ecosystems, I developed a profound love for the natural world. Despite facing several setbacks and denials in job interviews within the wildlife sector, my passion never wavered.
Believing that I’m truly called for this work, I decided to create ThisIsTanzania,
a platform that allows me to remain connected to the wildlife and tourism industries I cherish. Through this platform, I aim to share Tanzania’s beauty with the world, promote sustainable tourism, and contribute to the preservation of our incredible natural heritage. My journey is proof that when you’re passionate about something, no obstacle can stop you from finding your path.
I was so bothered that all the information about Tanzania on Google or Bing came from travel agencies sites, international blogs, or government websites written in Swahili, none of which were easy to navigate. I wanted something different, something precise, something that truly captured the essence of Tanzania from the people who know it best.
